Everybody who is born will live forever. There is nothing you have to do to live forever. It happens automatically because you were born. Now you might be thinking, what is wrong with you, didn't you ever go to a funeral? Haven't you ever seen a graveyard? What do you mean everybody will live forever?
Yes, I have been to many funerals and graveyards, these physical bodies do die, but our soul does not die with the body, it continues to live forever. You will know what is going on, you will not be sleeping. The Bible says: "We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed," 1st Corinthians 15:51
It doesn't matter if you die a natural death, die in an accident, or take your own life. You will live forever. Your soul cannot die.
It also doesn't matter if your body is embalmed and neatly buried, if your body is destroyed by fire or blown up by a bomb. You will live forever. Your soul cannot die
After your body dies your soul will separate from your body, and you will do some traveling. You will go to either Heaven or Hell. The apostle Paul wrote: "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2nd Corinthians 5:8
The good news is that you can choose where you want to go, but you have to choose before your body dies.
At home I have a Mayo Clinic Family Health Book, I know I can find good medical information in there because of their outstanding reputation. I trust it.
Now for spiritual information I go to the Bible, the only authority.
The Bible was written over a 1,500 year span, over 40 generations, and by more than 40 authors. With so many authors over so many years any other book would be full of contradictions, errors, and exaggerations, but in the Bible everything agrees. The history in the Bible is reliable, archeology has proved this. The prophecies, foretelling of future events, have come true, the Bible is accurate.
You can trust the Bible.
Let me repeat going to Heaven or Hell is your choice.
Hell was created for rebellious beings. Before there was Adam and Eve, the first human beings, there were angelic beings. One of the leading angels known as the Devil, Satan, or Lucifer got tired of taking orders from God, and decided to overthrow God and sit on his throne. The Devil persuaded one third of the angels to follow him. When the Devil was defeated God created Hell for imprisonment and punishment.
Hell is a literal place of torment.
In Hell there will be no water, booze, drugs, sex, or any other lust. The Bible describes hell as "unquenchable fire, furnace of fire, everlasting fire, everlasting punishment, everlasting destruction, and the lake of fire burning with brimstone".
Doesn't sound like a good place to have a party does it?
How long will you stay in hell? Forever, time will be done away with, it will just be eternity.
Now let's take a look at Heaven, it's a much better place.
Heaven is a city where God lives along with angels and humans who chose to be there before their bodies died.
If you choose heaven:
You will get a new house. Jesus the Son of God said. "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2
You will be happy. "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." Revelation 7:17
Your status in Heaven will be equal to the angels. " for they are equal unto the angels;" Luke 20:36
You will receive a new body. "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body," 1st Corinthians 15:44 "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body," Philippians 3:21
You will not be working. "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them." Revelation 14:13
What people kill for on earth will be building materials in Heaven. "And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass." Revelation 21:18-21
Best of all you will enjoy the company of everybody who lives in heaven.
God wants everybody to go to Heaven, but not everybody will be there. "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." 1st Timothy 2:4
Now if you want to go Heaven keep on reading, you will find out what you have to do to go there.
If you want to go to Hell stop reading right now, there are no entrance requirements to go to Hell, there is nothing you have to do, it will happen automatically.
There is a big difference between what people think will get them to Heaven, and what God says will get you to heaven. Let's take a look at some of the answers you would get if you asked people if you were to die tonight would you go to Heaven? Also let's take a look at these answers and see what the Bible says about them.
Answer: I go to church. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that going to church will get you to heaven.
Answer: My good works will out weigh my bad deeds. Doing good deeds will not cancel out bad deeds. If you think doing good deeds will get you to heaven the Bible says: "all our righteousness are as filthy rags;" Isaiah 64:6 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us," Titus 3:5
Answer: I am a good moral person. Now if you are thinking you are not a sinner the Bible says: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." 1st John 1:8
Answer: I have not committed any big sins, surely God will overlook my small sins. The bible says: "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10
Answer: God is too merciful to send me to hell. The Bible says: "For the wages of sin is death" Romans 6:23
How many of the above answers would be your answer of why you are going to heaven?
There is only one entrance requirement to get into Heaven and that is to be sinless, just like God.
When God created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden they were sinless. They were enjoying life; God did not give them a long list of do's and don'ts. The only commandment God gave them was. "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Genesis 2:17. The Devil still scheming to take control entered into a serpent and went into action."And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:4-6. Adam and Eve died a spiritual death in the garden of Eden, they are no longer sinless. Thanks to them all their children, grandchildren down to you and I are born sinners and rebellious. No matter how good a person you are, you are still a sinner. We were born with a sin nature. You have Adam and Eve to thank for that.
Here is another verse in the Bible about Heaven. "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:" Revelation 21:27
More good news is that God has made a way for your sins to be removed.
After Adam and Eve sinned God made a way for mankind to have their sins removed.
God instituted "The Law". "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22
So when you sinned under the law you had to take an animal to the high priest to sacrifice for an atonement to be made for your sins. Which would not take away sin but it would cover over it.
The only way for past, present, and future sins to be absolutely removed is for God's own sinless son, Jesus Christ, to be offered up as a sacrifice for sin.
"And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;" Hebrews 10:11-12
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:" 1st Peter 1:18-19
Jesus Christ loves us so much he was willing to die on the cross so we can go to Heaven.
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:6-8
Jesus did his part if you want to have your sins removed you have to do your part.
Just ask!
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" Matthew 7:7-11
"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matthew 21:22
When you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and you ask him to remove your sins, you are saved from hell.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Salvation is a free gift from God, you don't have to work for it.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
By now you should know the answer to the question "What Must I Do To Go To Heaven?".
What is your reaction to this message? Does it sound like the truth to you, or do you think that all Christians are deceived?
The forces of good and evil are at work right now. The Devil does not want you to go to Heaven, and God does not want you to go to Hell.
Who are you going to believe? If you are thinking of asking God to save you from Hell that is because God's spirit is talking to you.
Do it now! Before it is eternally too late.
"Behold, now is the day of salvation." 2nd Corinthians 6:2
If you are having trouble thinking of what to say to God use this prayer.
Dear God I know I am a sinner. I believe your son Jesus died for my sins. Forgive my sins and take them away. Thank you for saving me.
If you, to the best of your ability, meant what you prayed you are saved from Hell.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans. 10:13
You weren't born knowing everything. You learn by going to school, reading newspapers, and talking to other people. The same is true in the christian life, you need to go to church, read the Bible, and pray to become a mature christian.
